Maintenance Technician

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

MTL Contractors is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team and take on new challenges. We are RBQ licensed general contractors who have a maintenance contract for 20 properties.

 

A maintenance technician performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs to residential buildings. We have all the tools and equipment required for the work, so if you can bring the knowledge and good attitude, we have a bright future for you at this company. 

 

This is a full time permanent position. The position includes CNESST health and safety coverage, direct deposit paychecks with source deductions, 11 paid statutory holidays, paid vacation that increases annually, uniform provided, and other benefits.

 

EXAMPLES OF TASKS:

 

-Interior repairs to residential buildings

-Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the building (finding issues, determine what needs to be repaired to resolve an issue)

-Identifying material needed, traveling to store to purchase material with our corporate account

-Light carpentry (adjusting doors, changing mouldings, changing doorknobs)

-Unblocking drains

-Various repairs

-Plaster repairs

-Painting

-Loading materials and tools into truck for the work you are doing

-Unloading and cleaning the truck out at the end of the day

-Keeping the work site and tools safe and clean at all times

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

-Valid driver's license

-Familiarity with tools and equipment

-Willingness to learn
