Skilled Labourer

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

MTL Contractors is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team and take on new challenges. We are RBQ licensed general contractors who specialize in interior renovation; primarily bathroom and kitchen renovations.

 

We are an established company with over 75 years of experience with demand for full time work, year round, with growth year over year.

 

This is a full time permanent position. The position includes CNESST health and safety coverage, direct deposit paychecks with source deductions, 11 paid statutory holidays, paid vacation that increases annually, uniform provided, and other benefits.

EXAMPLES OF TASKS:

​

-Framing, blocking, installing subfloors

-Hanging drywall

-Installing trim, doors, millwork

-Painting (not required)

-Cleaning, emptying truck and placing back in shop

 

As general contractors, we handle the preparation, carpentry, hanging drywall, trimwork and painting. We subcontract various phases of construction to specialist contractors (plumbing, electrical, ceramic, plaster, cabinetry, etc).

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

-Valid driver's license

-Experience in the industry

-Willingness to learn

 

ABILITIES:

 

This position requires manual and physical dexterity and stamina. Tasks will at times include lifting materials weighing 60 pounds, work on ladders, etc
